Project Update [Mar. 5th, 2006|11:07 am]

[Current Mood |cheerfulcheerful]

All projects are listed in no particular order.

Currently on the needles:
  • Mrs Beeton
  • Leisel (link to PDF file)
  • Booga Bag

Projects I have yarn for but have not started:
  • Rogue
  • Possible sweater out of Noro
  • socks (still looking for a pattern)
  • Jaywalker socks
  • Kiri Shawl (link to PDF file)
  • Odessa (waiting on beads)
  • Shedir (link to PDF file)
  • Punk Rock Backpack from Stitch 'n Bitch

Projects I want to make but do not have yarn for yet:
  • Cherry Blossom Shawl from Interweave Knits Spring 2002 - the yarn I'm using for this is being hand dyed for me... I should have it soon.

Project I'm working on designing because I can't find an existing one that would work:
  • Slippers for Nick

Project I don't know what I'm going to do with (aka the project I doubt I'll ever finish because I hate it):
  • Folly

Recently finished projects I haven't mentioned here:
  • Hot Head from Stitch 'n Bitch for Nathaniel
  • Newsboy Cap from Stitch 'n Bitch Nation

I don't have as much yarn as I used to. I'm not hording it like crazy and I'm pretty proud of myself for that. I buy yarn with intention because I have a specific project in mind. There's only some yarn I swapped for recently that has no current plans. Well and some yarn that I will not give away because it's gorgeous and sooner or later I'll find the perfect project for it. And of course a few left overs from projects. I still have yarn left that hasn't found a new home yet, but that should change soon.

Sometime soon I'm going to update my "FO LIST" with all the projects I've ever completed.

And the best news?? I've taught Nathaniel how to knit and he's working on knitting his Grandma a felted bag. He thinks she'll use it for her Donna Dewberry supplies (she teaches the Donna Dewberry "One Stroke" classes). We'll see. I plan on helping him sew in a liner and sew flowers on the front. The green being used for the bag is the perfect Donna Dewberry green that she has on her current bag that is from Donna Dewberry. I think she'll love it! He's doing really good so far :o)

    Donna Dewberry One Stroke

I love Donna Dewberry. Does your sons grandmom still teach? I did find a site that sells Donna Dewberry One Stroke Books (http://www.anitasarts.com/donna-dewberry-books-videos-c-1_7.html) They have a good selection of books and brushes, and a few other One Stroke items.
